It seems hard to believe that we hadn’t planned on spending the summer in McCall. I think it might’ve been because working from home was such a new concept for everyone, and new to us was not having a home. Ever since our lease expired in NYC in May of this year, we’ve been without a permanent residence. But, oh my – what a great summer we’ve had!
I’ll list a few of the things we’ve seen and done in the past 2 months and post several of the photos:
- UTV trips to Yellow Pine and Warren,
- Reconnecting with old friends and making new ones,
- Hiking to Josephine Lake, Upper Hazard Lake, Goose Creek Falls, Boulder Lake, and Louie Lake,
- Afternoon golfing (almost daily),
- Boating on Payette Lake,
- Shopping at the local farmers market,
- Watching the sun rise over Payette Lake every morning while working on East Coast time (Don),
- Biking down Brundage Mountain,
- Fishing,
- Picking huckleberries,
- Riding electric bikes,
- And the last hurrah was jet boating down the Snake and Salmon Rivers. (The jet boat experience will be a separate blog post once I learn more about the geology of the area.)

Pictures are stunning. Your experience is inspiring. It has clearly taken a great deal of courage and thinking outside the box to achieve this level of reward.
Looking forward to see you all!
